Alright, we got back from the Island on the 13th. I was so happy to be home we did a lot this spring/summer and I don't think I will repeat that again. NY in February, FL in March, OH in April, NC in May and then Island in June/July. That was also interspersed with Ken's work travels.
The garden had done ok but should have had more watering. I snuck out some new potatoes for a few dinners. The boys start their YMCA camp on the 16th, I think they are excited to see some friends and have some activities. Grandma Mary and Grandpa Joe arrived on the 15th.
Drew wrenched his neck on the Island. It seemed to be quite painful but got better after some rest. He was trying to put on a swim mask and I think he turned his neck while straining to put on the to tight Mask. On his first day of camp he re injured it during a karate demonstration. I took him to the pediatrician and he was given a week of rest and no camp to let it heal. Fortunately Grandma and Grandpa were in town and Drew was certainly not too sad about the turn of events.
The following week Calvin got have a special at home day with Grandma, with lunch at Piecasso and a trip to Toys R'Us.
While visiting, Grandpa built Lauren a new big girl bed! And fixed/enlarged a shelf for me in the kitchen! I'm very excited about both and appreciative of his hard work.
Grandma and I also took Lauren to see a production of Pinkalicious at St. Michaels Theathre. Lots of very cute girls all in pink.
Grandma was awesome at giving me lots of time to play, Lots of Bikrams that week, I think I got in 5 classes when they were here!! They left on the 25th. We are all so happy to have them for such a nice long visit.

Time for another long rambling update...Island 2012
Let see I'm trying to remember what we have been up to since the last post. We spent 16 days on the Island so I'll start there.
Calvin and Mor Mor left for the Island on June 26th. The rest of us all followed on the 28th. We had fabulous weather, warm and sunny without over bearing hot nights. The water was low and we needed rain, but still nice not to have any. The boys did great. It seems that there has been a change in their relationship ever since the Island. They seem to have matured in their interactions, not as much intervening on my part and they are interacting without as much normal hostility as before. They did lots and lots of fishing. Unfortunately with the unseasonably warm spring and summer and low water fishing was not great. A few Pikes were caught by Ken, Mom and Calvin it wasn't a record season for sure. Mom stayed with us till the 2nd and the Rundles arrived on the 3rd. A fun time was had by all, it had been two years since they had been to the Island. They stayed for four nights leaving on Sunday. I took Ken to town on Monday and he left to work in upstate NY for a few days, mom arrived later that afternoon. We had a few days with just myself, Mor Mor and the kids. Ken came back on Thursday and we left on Friday. Calvin swam a lot, back and forth the bays without any problems and no life jacket. He swims on his own and is working on his strokes. He jumped off the dock a lot. Drew was pretty cautious but did swim across the bays without aids, but only when forced. We brought the boys kayaks and they had fun exploring and being able to leave the Island on their own. This was Laurens first trip to the Island that she will remember and she had a great time. She remained diaper free without a problem, spent a lot of time watching her brothers fish and playing in the water. She didn't do a lot of swimming but would kick and play in the shallow water.
