Skiing and more

Drew had is first day on the Mountain yesterday. He went up for a half day with the Adventure Program at Stowe. He loved it and can't get enough of it. Both he and Calvin will be going back up for a full day on Saturday. They are both very excited to get home from school today to ski in the backyard. It was very warm and rainy here Sunday afternoon and evening and we lost almost all of our snow. But in true Vermont fashion it snowed Monday and Monday evening and we are all white again, Drew's school had a two hour delay this morning.

Ken's parents have been visiting since last Thursday. Wonderful as always to have them here, the help with the kids is great and the boys are sooo happy to see them, sadly they shove off tomorrow.

This past weekend was a wild one with lots of fun for mom and dad! Friday night we celebrated a good friends birthday with friends new and old and had a wonderful time with lots of wine flowing, making Saturday sluggish. Satruday night was another annual holiday party this one with a big emphasis on dancing! We boogied up a storm and had another wonderful night with the best friends imaginable, what a town we live in. Ken and I and many others are constantly remarking on how great Waterbury is, such a great group of people we are so happy and lucky to call our frineds, we are SO happy here it suprises even us at times.

Lauren had her 18 month well child check up last week, she is doing great and growing into a little penaut, 30% for height and 20% for weight.

Lauren has a few sayings that Ken and I can pick up on, "What's that" is one, she doesn't enunciate the words but says something close enough to it that we know what she means. I am pretty sure she said please a couple of times yesterday and when asking for more food, it was a pl word, not perfect but cute and in the right direction. She says Pop-pop pretty well, has Mommy down, Do for dog and Da for Daddy, she has said Mil once or twice for milk. She follows instructions well, "bring this to Drew", "go get a book", "close the door" "blow a kiss" "go to Calvin".
