Outer Banks May

On May 18th we left for our NC trip.  We drove to Virginia Beach for the first night.  We had made reservations at the same hotel we stayed at in 2010 for our sabbatical trip.  The hotel isn't anything fancy but the kids totally remembered the pool and the beach.  Saturday morning the Hynes and Provenchers caught up with us and spent the day at the hotel pool and beach with us.  We all shoved off late morning for the outer banks.  We all hooked up again for lunch and then met at the house.  We rented a house in Waves, NC on the Outer Banks.  The McKays also rented the hosue with us but they didn't arrive till Sunday.  It was a great week, with lots of yummy seafood, pool time, beach time and time with friends.  We went out one day to the Wright Brothers Memorial.  We left on Friday.  We had the house till Saturday but bad weather was rolling in and we wanted to split the drive up and get home in time to enjoy a little of Memorial Day Weekend.  Lots of house chores were calling.  We spent the night with the Hynes in Dover, Delawere and got home around 6:00 on Saturday.
